Meet Grant Hayward

Your dedicated Consultant Specialist 


Grant Hayward, our director, brings 32 years of hands-on experience in the construction and inspection industry. His journey began with relocating homes in the 90s with Fulton Hogan and The House Trader, where he developed a deep understanding of property structures. Grant furthered his knowledge with a Carpentry Trade Certification and other building-related qualifications and was a registered builder for Fletcher Construction. His diverse background also includes commercial bridge building in the U.K. and the development of architectural homes in N.Z.


Approximately 20 years ago, Grant became an expert witness in building disputes, specialising in weathertightness and workmanship. Later, this included earthquake damage and repair assessments. Grant has worked alongside structural and geotechnical engineers to assess earthquake-damaged properties, manage repairs and negotiate with relevant parties.


This wealth of experience empowers Inspect Right to provide expert guidance that clients can trust when making critical property decisions.
